Château La Croix Younan : passion for wine
Emblematic of the Maison Younan philosophy, Château La Croix Younan stands for uncompromising quality.
Covering 10 hectares, Château La Croix Younan produces wines of exceptional richness and generosity, reflecting the winemaking history of Saint Emilion and the expertise of its craftsmen.
Formerly known as Château la Croix Fourney, Château La Croix Younan was acquired by La Maison Younan in 2017, and thus renamed after Zaya S. Younan, creator of this luxurious institution. The name change symbolizes the care and passion Zaya S. Younan puts into crafting exceptional wine, sacrificing quantity for the highest quality winemaking.
With a total surface area of 8.19 hectares, Château La Croix Younan is one of the vineyards located in the prestigious Saint-Émilion region of Bordeaux, close to the newly classified Château La Fleur Morange.
Born in the 1950s, it is now renowned for producing some of the richest wines on the Right Bank.
Ludovic Perez took over the technical management of Maison Younan Vineyards at the end of 2020, having previously been Assistant Cellar Master at Château Palmer in Margaux, then Technical Manager at Château Monlot St Emilion Grand Cru. Prioritizing quality over quantity, respecting the land through sustainable agriculture and striving for excellence are the watchwords of this passionate winegrower.
Since its introduction on the international market, the different vintages of Château la Croix Younan have been acclaimed at some of the industry's greatest events, notably the Primeurs and Livrables (please consult us for the list of ratings and tasting notes).
Château la Croix Younan also owns 1.2 hectares in the Bordeaux appellation, planted with 85% Merlot and 15% Malbec. A first cuvée was released in 2022 under the name ASCUMBAS VINUS.
